About Me

My Journey

Mental health can often feel like a lonely struggle. My journey began in the high-pressure world of the live events industry, where I spent 25 years navigating the chaos of deadlines and expectations. Through this whirlwind of creativity and stress, I encountered my own mental health challenges - facing grief, anxiety, and low self-esteem that felt insurmountable. Like many others, I found myself grappling with circumstances beyond my control, feeling lost and questioning my worth and purpose.

I have suffered with my own experiences of poor mental health.  It was during one of these periods that I sought counselling - a decision that marked a turning point in my life. The support and guidance I received not only provided me with tools to cope with my own struggles but also sparked a deep desire to help others who find themselves in similar situations. I know that many people are silently battling their own demons, often unaware of the root causes of their pain or the fact that they're not alone in their experiences.

My Path to Counselling

I began by training as a mental health first aider at work, where I discovered how rewarding it was to support others. When redundancy offered an opportunity for change, this realisation inspired me to retrain as a counsellor. Now, I work with clients with a charity in Bromley alongside my private practice, supporting people through a wide range of life challenges.

As a counsellor, I strive to create a safe and supportive space where you can explore your feelings, confront your past, and reclaim your life. I genuinely believe that everyone deserves understanding, empathy, and the chance to heal, regardless of their circumstances. Together, we can navigate life's complexities, instilling hope and encouraging resilience.
