Professional Counselling for Stress, Anxiety and Life Challenges

I provide counselling for people experiencing workplace stress, burnout, anxiety, grief or life transitions.

Many of the people I work with are professionals who feel overwhelmed, stuck or struggling to cope.

You Might be feeling:

  • Constantly stressed and overwhelmed
  • Anxious about work or life responsibilities
  • exhausted or burned out
  • Struggling with low mood or depression
  • Lacking confidence or feeling stuck
  • Navigating a difficult life transition
  • Dealing with grief or loss

If any of this sounds familiar, counselling can offer a safe space to explore what's happening and begin making positive changes

Why Counselling Can Help

When you’re experiencing stress, anxiety, burnout or difficult life circumstances, it can feel as though everything is happening at once and there is little space to step back and reflect.

Counselling offers a confidential and supportive environment where you can talk openly about what you are experiencing without judgement or pressure.

Many people find that simply having the time and space to explore their thoughts and feelings helps them gain a clearer understanding of what is happening in their lives.

Through counselling you can begin to:

  • understand the pressures and patterns that may be affecting your wellbeing
  • make sense of difficult emotions such as anxiety, anger, sadness or frustration
  • explore challenges related to work, relationships or major life transitions
  • develop healthier ways of coping with stress and uncertainty
  • rebuild confidence and reconnect with what matters to you

Rather than offering quick solutions, counselling focuses on helping you develop greater self-awareness, clarity and resilience, so that you can approach life’s challenges in a way that feels more manageable and meaningful.

Hi, I'm Steve

As a BACP-registered counsellor, I offer a grounded and practical approach to counselling. My aim is to provide a supportive and non-judgemental space where you can explore what you are experiencing, gain greater understanding of yourself, and begin to move forward in a way that feels right for you.

Although much of my work has involved supporting men who find it difficult to talk about the pressures they face, I work with people of all genders and backgrounds who are looking for support with stress, anxiety, burnout or life challenges.

Starting counselling can feel daunting

You may wonder:

  • What will I talk about?
  • Will it feel uncomfortable?
  • How do I know if counselling will help?

These questions are completely normal.

The first session is simply an opportunity to explore what’s going on for you and decide whether counselling feels like the right step.

As we work together, you might:

  • Gain fresh perspectives on your situations
  • Develop a better understanding of yourself and your relationships
  • Find new ways to handle difficult emotions
  • Build confidence in making decisions
  • Learn practical strategies for managing stress and anxiety
  • Feel more in control of your life

Who I Work With

  • Anxiety
  • Depression

  • Clarify what’s weighing you down
